Grand Vue Park has an underground zip line, Grave Creek Mound is a beautiful cemetery and Wheeling Park offers plenty of nature - activities to explore with the family. Visiting these parks is a must, but if the amusement park is not your thing, there are many other great places to visit in West Virginia and other parts of Ohio.

You can drive up the hill and spend some time at the Oglebay Resort and Conference Center or visit the water park on King's Island. The water parks on King Island are ideal for those who want to spend the whole day there and cool off at the end.

Wheeling has an interesting neighborhood of Victorian houses, so you can do your own free hike in the North Wheeling Historic District. It has antique and specialty stores and more than 150 stores, including Macy's and Sears. You can walk along the waterfront and walk through the historic district to have a great view of the city and its historic buildings.
